I recently tore up my rt. dually fender so I called the local Ford dealer and priced one $522.00 I thought that to be a bit much so the hunt was on. I looked on a lot of sites and finally picked Direct Ford Parts.com one of our sponsors ,sent a few emails made sure I ordered everthing I needed (two marker lights and retainers and t-bolts and 1 rt fender) $457.28 including shipping I was happy. Then I came home from work to find a message to call about shipping my order . I get ahold of them and am told that there's noway they can ship that fender for $47.16 he tells me if I want to drive to the terminal 55 miles 1 way that the shipping would be around 60.00 but if I wanted it shipped to the house it would 105.00 WHAT?????????? I asked him why wasn't the correct shipping price listed he said thats just the way the web site worked . I was pissed now so I canceled the order I'll go to my local Ford shop and get one in three days for maybe 40.00 more. So beware of dealing with Direct Ford Parts.com
Shipping cost usually kill any savings from buying mail order, plus its a hassle
if something is damaged in shipping to return it. If I can buy local, I do.
Just my $.02 worth.
