Mud flaps to low?

Mud flaps to low?
I just ordered a full set to protect My 04 F350. As the order stands, they will have about a 13" drop leaving about 6-7" of clearance. Is that to low for a road bound rig. They are Duraflap units and I've only run rubber ones on my other rig ( more flexable?). Also wondering if the Duraflap shed ice and packed snow well enough for long winter trips and such.
I'll be doing some towing of a two place snow machine trailer and possibly a four place open trailer later. What looks to be overload springs have a 2.5" air gap. Will suspension eat em up with a load on?

Thanks Alot to all . I Kept my order the same from Duraflap through today. Both sets are being custom cut, so I'll let him do his magic. I hope to get em on before they chip seal my street. Real ugly deal for weeks after its done. The rig has really paid the price for the last 3 or so years without . Its new to me 4/07 ,so before lower body repaint we figured to invest. Thanks again.
