Wait time for 08 SD orders?

Wait time for 08 SD orders?
I ordered an 08 F250 about 3 weeks ago and the dealer said normal wait time is 8-10 weeks which seems a little long. Then he called last week and said things are moving slowly and that they will try and contract Detroit this week to see if they can get a build date. Anyone else having similar experience with a new order. I thought 4-6 weeks was the norm. I can't wait to get this thing as I've been driving the same 84 F150 since it was new and it's just about had it. I had to take it in for a throwout bearing today. Hopefully it won't cost me too much more money before the new one comes in. Thanks. Brian

I ordered mine on June 13th. It has a build date of July 23rd and I should have it the first week of August.
The plants go on shut down for 2-3 weeks I believe in the beginning of July so that's probably why things are moving slowly or show no change.

Just got a call from my dealer and he gave me a build date of August 20!!! I sure didn't think it would take this long when ordering new!!! Brian

When I ordered mine two weeks ago I was told six to eight weeks, most likely eight weeks. I'm hoping it will show up sooner rather then later because I'll probaly be in Europe on busness the entire month of September. So it might sit on the dealer lot for a couple of weeks until I get back.
