Convertible truck?

I have always wanted to own a convertible truck. I currently own a F-150 Extended cab short bed and was thinking about getting it customized into a convertible. I was wondering if anybody has seen one or has an opinion about it. It may not be possible or it may look stupid. Not sure, just throwing around the thought. One thing that I feel kills the idea is that the truck is a 4x4. That might look stupid. Anytime I see a convertible it is always a lowered reg cab ranger or mazda. Your thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks

Convertible truck?

Dodge made a convertable dakota in the late 80's or early 90's. Looked like a Jimmy with the top off. It too was a 4X4 but I wouldn't want to roll over in one

It would be great if you could find a camper top to put on it. Almost the same as a class C camper.

Convertible truck?

about (aheam) 20 years ago, I had a chevy Luv P.U (ok, I have since seen the light!) and I had a camper shell on it, being the wild sole I was, I decieded to give the truck a "Targa" top (I managed an Auto body shop ) and it turned out quit nice, went to lots of meets and always drew a crowd, but unless you have the ability to finish it nice I wouldnt do it, youi will have a hack job otherwise. just have a sunroof installed, looks good, enhances the value and is MUCH more secure.
