4.6 or 5.4?!?

Is the 5.4 really that much better than the 4.6? This will be my daily driver/off road vehicle. I will be lifting it 6-8" and 35-38" tires. I will be doing gears and some type of ls. I am not really worried about things breaking I will just fix them and make them faster. No biggie. I want a 5.4 5speed but noooooo, Ford decided not to offer that, for some reason. Is the 4.6 with manual about the same as a 5.4 auto???? Thanx guys.

I have a 4.6 and it is just enough to say it is a v8. Get the 5.4 you want be sorry.

For the type of mods you will be doing you will need the 5.4, unless you plan to put a blower on the 4.6.
