They checked it out and said it was that the PCM was fried.

Is this a dealer only item?

they said $1900 parts and labor to get her on the road again, 101000 miles so no warrenty

that sucks..what would fry the PCM .. besides the fact that its under the hood in the heat

Check the internet on another Ford parts supplier so you don't have to spend $1900

I did this with our Lexus, the window motor gave up and our local dealership wanted $497. I went on-line and ordered one from another dealer for $330. Same identical OEM part and number. The only downside was to wait the 4 days to get the part mailed

Looked around and coulnt find one anywere but ford, Also It has to be flased per the vehicle it is installed in and was told that was Ford only.

So they can get you cummin and Going....
