Redneck doubler.
I am not about to try this, just wanted to know.
What if you take a np205, and twinstick it and only put the shifter on for what would be for the rear axle. but instead of it sending power to the rear axle it goes to a divorced np205 what powers the front and rear axles.
Would this not be an easier way to get a doubler?

yeah you could do that, but most people don't want the extra weight of a whole extra x-case...
What you can do is get a 1356 or 1354 and cut the front output half of the x-case off and make it a doubler only, but then you have to modify some stuff.

Another option is to run a manual trans and then an auto behind that, or vice versa. There are complications to running either first, but both ways work.
