I finished my speaker install this morning. The rear panels came off in about 20-30 seconds.Total install time was about 20-25 minutes. The Kickers sound awesome with the Alpine head unit.Next is a sub and amp install!

Do you have a amp on the door speakers or just the head unit? And was there a big difference in sound? And congrats on the install...
No amp on the speakers; just pure raw Alpine sound! And,it thumps too! The biggest difference was the highs (treble) were dramatically higher as were the lows (bass),lower.
I had Infinity speakers in my 97 F150 with a JVC head unit. This current setup blows that one away by far! I highly recommend Alpine to anyone about to purchase a head unit.I bought the basic model #9870 for $119.99 at Best Buy and it rocks just as well as the more expensive Alpine units, just not as many frills!
