Hey everyone. I have done a search but I cannot find the answer I'm looking for. I have an 05 F-150 XLT SuperCab and I want to run my cargo light to a seperate switch so my dome lights/cargo lights do not come on together. I am interested if any of you have done it before? If so could you list the steps/parts that I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
One side of the circuit comes from the instrument cluster, on circuit #53, a black/light blue wire, that wire is in connector C220B, pin 8. It then goes to the left A pillar, connector C238 pin #6. Then goes to the left side rear of the cab, then to the connector in the roof for the stop light, connector C904, pin #2.
the ground is pin #1 on C904 (circuit 57). This runs in harness from the stop light plug to connector C312 (the manual says not all truck will have this connector) in the right rear door. Then to the front of the truck under the right side of instrument panel C282. It ends up at G206 in this area. G206 is the ground side.
You could interupt the hot. That same ground circuit is used for the high mounted brake light. So breaking the ground would kill the cargo and stop light.
You could move the wire at C238 pin #6 to a switch and route it back to the connector. C238 is the connector n the left A pillar. I'll see if I can post a picture of the wire runs and connectors. Either later tonight, or tomorrow.

I WANT THAT MANUAL, can you give me some info about it, and how to get it, PLEASE ? I had to replace a lamp in the cargo light of my scab. the wires are super short I could hardly pull the light out enough to work on it. Now it's out again. I hope I didn't yank somthing loose. I hate that all the lights come on when you use the remote. I've had to replace both tail light brake lamps about 3 times.

I have posted a new gallery called Cargo Light that shows the pages I mentioned in my original post...
Check it out!
If you want a copy of the pictures, try bringing the gallery up, go to each indivdual picture, rigt click on it and do a "save image". If this doesn't work for you, please PM me with your e-mail and I will send them to you.....
UPDATE: I also noticed the that connector in the dash maybe easier to get to than the a pillar. I will post a picture of this connector this afternoon.
