I have a 89 Ford F150 2wd. I want to put a leveling kit on it but I can't find one for my truck anywhere. If anybody knows where I can get one I would greatly appreciate it.
Summit Racing and Jegs have shackle and rear drop kits. Google their catalogs. Some of our sponsors up top might have them too......I use Summit a lot......good prices. LMC Truck is another one I use.
Are you just dropping the rear?
ahhhhhhh..........you want to lift it in front..........more than stock?....or is it just sagging bad and you want back to stock?
I've seen posts here where new springs got a 2-3 inch "raise" but back to normal from sagging.......
you could use a heavier front spring.......F250......maybe 4X4........to get the raise beyond stock height. Depending on how high.......you'll be stretching your shocks out too....
According to the part numbers in my LMC catalog there is no difference in height of front springs on 2wds and 4wds. I am thinking about doing the same to my 96 2wd... I just hate the raked look that these trucks have. I have seen spacer kits and leveling springs available. I really like the ride of my stock springs, I am leaning towards the 2" spacers. FYI if you decide to do the front lift, don't forget to also get a pair of adjustable camber bushings.
The only reason I was going to lift the truck was because of the raked position it sits in and was hoping one of the 2.5" lift kits would level out the truck.
But if I could just bring the front up to the backs height I would be much happier.
