I have a 1979 F-150 and i want to just level the front out instead of putting a lift kit on it. If anyone knows where i can find one that would be great
Those will be almost as much work as a regular lift kit....... ha 1/2 ton owners, anyone know if someone sales a coil spring bucket spacer for that year?
How much lift do you need to level it? sometimes just a set of stock replacement coils is all that's needed, if you need additional lift buy a set of 1 or 2 inch lift springs.
I just replace mine on my 78 F150 4x4 shorty. I got them from a Federated auto parts, their part number is: 587-1003 They leveled the truck out nice............I dont remember the exact application for them but we dug in the book and found the heaviest ones we could. ie: with A/C etc.
Dude ill sell u mine its a superlift leveling kit with all the bushings, and all shocks front and rear only had the set up on it for a year then went four inch.
Rancho still carries a 2-inch taller lift springs.... give'em a call. I used to have a pair on my rig until I went to +4.. sold'em to a fellow FTE'er in TX.
Oh.. the term "leveling kit" doesn't really apply to these rigs like newer trucks. You'll basically have to piece one together cuz back in the day these rigs were meant for working and hauling - not heading to the mall or boulevard.
