Timing Pointer for FE 390

Timing Pointer for FE 390
I have a 1970 Ford F-100 with 390. My book does not have any photo showing where/how to install the timing pointer. The holes on the lower left side of the timing cover appear to line up with the pointer holes but my mechanic friend says no way it goes on the left side.
Anyone have any idea where/how the 390 FE timing pointer mounts. Even better, a photo or diagram I could reference, by chance...?

It goes on the right side(passenger), the large hole gets the big bolt thru it(the long one-timing cover has protrusion to level it up with face of cover), then there is a small sheetmetal type screw that hold it in location on face of timing cover.
