The snow plow option does put heavier springs on the front.
And I think it makes it ride a little rougher too. I don't know if the cooling modification is anything significant, so don't know if there is a good reason to have it. We don't plow much here in SoCal.
You could easily install softer springs up front, but don't expect miracles when it comes to the ride.
Most owners report good luck with getting new shocks (bilstein) and experimenting with lower tire pressures.
Tire pressure helped for sure. Not interested in changing springs. Shocks will be worn out in good time. Meanwhile I'm looking for a coffee sippy cup :-)
Sorry I have not been able to get a photo posted. I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
I checked a few things out last night.
I looked under about five 350's in the hotel parking lot. (no 250's available) I found that they all have a 1 inch thick rubber isolator on top of the front springs. My truck has this plus a 2" thick spacer. It looks stock but after looking at the other trucks I can see the difference.
I checked the build sheet that was on the window of the truck when it was purchased. I has a the FX 4 package and the camper package.
Not sure what the camper package is?
So my preference is to lift the back up. Can I just install the 4" blocks out of a 350? Is this hard?
