97 F150 alternator
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Aug-02 AT 09:25 PM (EST)]I just purchased a 97 F150 XL with 4.6 auto. The alternator was bad when I bought the truck. I have put 2 on since. All accessories work. I haven't found any bad fuses, wires, etc. Any suggestions as to what is killing alternators would be appreciated. Thanks. I also swapped a known good battery from another truck.

Where are you buying your alternators at? I would've taken the stock unit and had it rebuilt by someone I trust.

The first 2 came from Oreilly's. I hope to get my money/original core back tomorrow.
