tuner chips
Probably been asked but in a quick search, I didn't find exactly what I'm looking for.
Are the tuners for the F-150 also made for E-150s?
After looking at a few tuners it seems like they forgot to list the vans. However I do see that the Superchips Microtuner says truck/SUV which I would assume include the vans.
Also, I seem to remember that these can only be used on one vehicle?
Of course mine would be for my 2000 5.4. I noticed the Superchips Max Microtuner 1715 on Ebay for much less than new. One does say in the auction that it is not VIN locked. Are all of the 1715's not VIN locked?

No VIn locking occurs when you use the Tuner on a vehicle. As soon as you do this it is locked to your vehicle. It will not work on another one. This is to keep people from helping buddies, or setting up a tuner business based solely on having a super chips tuner. I assume that the 5.4 is the same in the vans and Trucks.

I know a member that is using a 1715 on his E350 with the 5.4. He likes it & claims it gives him better mpg & more power plus the tranny shifts better. His van is a 99 model so I bet it will work on your van too. Be sure you buy a unit that isn't vin locked. Superchip charges about $200 to unlock a used unit.
