need help with hei dizzy
i just bought an hei distributor for an early 460 of ebay from white performance (65.00), i slipped it in and hooked in the clip with the yellow , red and black wires into the underside slot, now with the ford i had a wire for the positive side of the coil and the wire coming out of the old dizzy, to the other side of the coil, well i have no cranking now, do i have to hook in a ign. wire?

You have to have power for your new dist. If you look next to plug you plugged in, there should be another spot that says "bat". Right beside it will be a spot labeled "tach". You need to run a new wire from the fuse box to the dist and hook to the "bat" terminal. Pick a spot that is hot with the key in run and start. Make sure you use at least 12 guage wire for the HEI dist.
