That's also what we saw on trucks at local shop here in good ol central WI. Not a 6.4 but on a DPF'd D/A and Cummins - between 1 and 2 rwhp were gained when turbo-backed straight piped. Also heard that from PPE when I purchased a tuner.
I think the biggest advantage of dpf removal would be to stop regen and gain mpg. On a D/A regen seems to happen about once every 500 miles lasts about 10 min. The exhaust is pretty warm - gonna try filter-back cool-duals from MBRP to get rid of some of that heat.
Ouch!!!!!! That really hurts. Al would not own a Diesel truck he probably owns one of those ugly Toyota hybrid's and thinks he's helping the US economy in the process....LOL.....
I bet that the DPF removal will significantly reduce the EGT's.
If it increases the fuel mileage at all it may be worth it to some people.
If removing a $1500+ part only yields 1HP extra and pollutes the environment more, I will be keeping the DPF. Seems kind of retarded to remove it for only a 1HP gain. I don't know about you guys, but I bet if I went to a muffler shop and asked them to make me a delete pipe for the DPF, they would charge at least $100. That is way too much to spend for a 1HP gain that may cause the warranty to be voided.

Well, in my honest opinion I would do it just to make people like you mad! Keep up the polution boys! I know my DPF will be gone ASAP on mine when I get it just like on my 6.0 the converter was gone the day I bought it........

Is that all you got from my post...that I cared about pollution? I own a freaking 8,000 lb truck that I ONLY use as a daily driver, I never haul anything, and my motorcycle trailer weighs about 1,200 lbs fully loaded. If I truly cared about the environment, I would be driving a Civic or a Prius or a Yaris. I just think that polluting just for the sake of polluting is senseless. If making people mad is what really makes you happy, then maybe some counselling would help.
On a side note, I really like your old truck and your new one. I would not even consider trading right now, if I were you. Where in Tennessee are you located and who installed the gauges on your old truck and the Outlook on your new one?

I do all my work on my own. I own a NAPA Auto Parts store and race all over the south so I am no dummy. Just hate when people comment about stuff like this thats meaningless towards the topic...........
BTW, the Signature needs a update. I no longer am running gauges at all on the truck and have swapped to a AFE Stage III and back to running my IDP Files and Spartan Diesel Files.

Thanks, although I don't think my comment was "meaningless". Voiding the warranty on a $50,000+ truck is no small matter. Although I doubt that they can actually do it, Ford has said that they will not honor warranty repairs if the exhaust is altered. If my "meaningless" comment keeps even one person from making an uneducated decicion about removing the DPF, then it has served a purpose. Not everybody owns their own business and can afford to repair or replace a $15,000 engine if it fails due to modifications. Once again, my comment was LESS about the environment and MORE about the voiding of the warranty.
PS - Apparently you feel the same way I do about the tree-hugging hippy liberals running this country at the moment. I am just as adamate about the possible ban on weapons that may find it's way through Congress soon. And if Hillary wins, there's no telling what might happen!
