1994 F150; No idea about the mileage.
Tool box, ladder rack, trailer hitch.
New tires, power everything.
Engine is a 302.
"Why are you selling it so cheap?"
"Just need to get rid of it."
"What's wrong with it?"
"Nothing. The timing is a little off, is all."
Is it worth $1200? The ad didn't have any pics, but I have to assume a large number of miles on it, as well as a little bit of rust. What else should I worry about, and is the timing a pain to set? I regret selling my truck and have wanted one ever since that day. I don't want to be too hasty, though.
If your serious about it take it to a good mechanic, definetely get their opinion on whats wrong with it. 60 bucks saves you 300+ later down the road (ask me how I know)
I got $800 out of a rust bucket with no trans or motor just parting it out. Buy it.
A running 4x4 is $1500 in my neck of woods. And the $400 plus you could get out of ladder rack is a plus. Its a construction truck lots of dents and miles. But may have been kept up mechanically.

Yeah, I don't like the comment about the timing. It may be that it's running rough, and a friend of a friend told him that the timing needed to be set. It could be a cracked head for all you know.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the 302 in a truck...
The 302 is a pretty good motor in a truck if it is set up right. I really don't know myselft what setup right means, but I know my 302 will out do, a couple of my friends 302, and some of my others friends 302s are like mine.
I would buy the truck for that cheap. My dad sold an 87 F150 with a 351 in it that had 250,000 miles on it that he had gotten from a cement plant, so it had a good 1/4 inch of cement coving the entire thing, and the oil pump had gone out for a 1000 dollars to a Mexican car train.
Those are all good points and I appreciate the help. I never did go look at it, as I found out that craigslist in my area has over 4000 vehicles listed and, oddly enough, many of those are trucks! Found a few others that I will probably go see, and if I get a chance, I'll look at this one. (Yes, I'm a craigslist dummy)
Thanks for pointing out the possibility of a cracked head, though. That's something I'll certainly keep in mind when shopping.
