Thanks. How do I get the bottom plate off? Thats where I got stuck when pulling this apart.

They are not sold separately.

I unfortunately took the bottom apart. Is this the filter you're referring to?

I'm wondering if I can clean up and restore proper function to the selector valve in my diesel... new one lists for over $300.

I also believe the brass floats have cracked and are filled with diesel, giving lower readings than the tanks are actually at, even after a replacement switch the readings are still below F on both tanks when I've just filled them up.

I saw a fix somewhere on replacing those floats with something else, but I can't find it anymore.

Great photos of the mechanical selector valve.
Mine on the bench now and not sure if it will rebuild or not.
Anyone know if there is a 'soft' parts kit?
May be the only hope for this one!
