Power lacking or just me?

quick update... the fan seems fine. I gave her a spin and there is some resistance -probably spins for about 180 degrees before it stops. I also disconnected the MAP sensor. As soon as I did that the "check engine" light came on. But I thought I would run it for a day or two - didnt really feel a whole lot of difference. I went on a test run and smoked tires pretty good around a corner, but cant really tell if by disconnecting the MAP it made a difference. I guess it seemed to make a little more power, or it could just be me paying more attention. Is it my imagination that it was the engine seemed louder when I unplugged the MAP? I guess it wouldnt hurt anything if I replaced it. Does anyone know how much they cost? So the truck still is very loud and roaring going between 55 and 65mph. any other ideas? If the exhaust system was partially plugged would it make that noise? I have all stock pipes including the cat.

Jeff I am now living in Muskegon for the next 6 weeks. Hopefully I can get over to drive your truck here in the next few days. As for the truck being louder with the MAP unplugged I suppose its possible but I have never tried it.
