Best 460 interceptor cam
I need to know what is the best cam to use with police interceptor heads on a 460. This for a stock 460 in a 1976 Mercury Couger. Need something that is every-day streetable without hurting fuel mileage. Thanks for any help. Benjamin

Benjamin, if you want to keep your fuel mileage okay and maintain drivability, how about keeping your stock camshaft and changing your timing chain and gears. Ford started retarding their camshafts in the early and mid seventys. This causes the engine to feel sluggish at and just off idle. Try switching to a timing set for a '68-9 429, and see how it runs after that. DF
