69cj, I get them for $10 from diesel filters online.
Exiled, this is an add on full flow filter kit straight from Ford. Very easy to install. Additional piece of mind for under $100. It is an actuall filter, unlike the external which is just a bypass, (which only samples 10% of the fluid flowing) and the internal which is just a screen.

mrxlh, I just did a quick google search and it looks like the FT-165 is the Motorcraft part number, the Ford part number is 2W4Z-7B155-D. I can't find any pictures of it though, so I'm not sure if it is just the filter or the whole kit. One place only wants $40 for it, that seems to cheap to be a filter housing with filter and lines doesn't it?
I just ordered both trans filters-FT144 & 145 from DFO and it was only $40'ish plus shipping for both, $19- something apiece, and I also ordered a spare set of fuel filters b/c my next tank of fuel will be Bio. I am anxious to see if there will be any noticable difference.
