I have an airaid intake (had to remove it for warnety work) and a bully dog triple dog downloader.Exhaust and 4 in lift 35 in tires is next, Thats as Far as I want to go, is it to far?
I know most of you have done more but I keep my trucks a long time (4 trucks to date) I will have this truck 10 years easy.
what is a SCT Xcal II , why is it better than my bully dog?
what does it do? is the power close to the bully dog, I never run the extreme setting just tow and proformance.
I guess Im asking whats the best setup for great proformance with no damage.
Thanks

SCT takes care of the transmission. Most units only increase line pressure to the transmission. I have never used or been around the bully dog triple dog down-loader. Any device or tuning will increase power, some offer on the fly power by turning a switch which is convenient. The transmission is where SCT has the advantage, along with custom programming for your particular application. A truck puller would not use the same values as someone who races the 1/4 mile or pulls his weekend toy hauler. Flexibility is the key and why most of us here are SCT consumers.

The triple dog downloader does offer some degree of tranny shift firmness adjustability(normal, smooth, or aggressive). Beyond that it doesn't do anything else that I am aware of, it certainly does not cater to your needs as to where the shift points should be as the SCT does depending on your particular driving style. But there are some degree of tranny adjustments with the triple dog.
