Just wondering if anyone could tell me where to find gray paint so i can paint my edge module. The black is starting to bother me
I tried several aftermarket paints and none were a good match for the dark flint grey on my dash.So I bought some OEM dark flint grey from FoMoCo and it matches good.It cost about $20 for small can (list price) ahh forget it that's a whole nuther thread. Anywho, if anyone needs OEM dark flint grey the part# is # PM-19M547-2002H
I got my paint from a auto parts store (had them mix it up) it was around 45.00 for the paint and the little sprayer jar for the paint. I will post the color # when I get home
but after I painted it. It was just a little to silver so I took some black spray paint and
just misted the pod. Just enough to knock the shine off and it matches great.
Dont forget to put primer on the pod first. Hope this helps. I will post the color of the silver ASAP.
Damn! $45 and they didn't even match it perfect. LOL What can you do. I just bought a can at Auto Zone that is pretty close. I tis better than the black and a little contrast is okay seeing it cost me under $10.
So do you have the dark grey on your dash and not the silver color?Mine is the dark grey. Also when I ordered the paint online it must have been on back order it took over a month to get. Hopefully they are stocked up now.
For what it is worth Dupont vinyl color Code: 7009 Color: Dark Neutral. I tried the silver paint from Auto Zone that was "pretty close" and misted it with black and I did not like how it looked.
And the $45.00 I spent on the paint was worth it to me. I did not want mis/matched paint setting on the dash of a $40,000 truck.
