Edge and scanguage2
Is anyone running the scanguage, with the edge module that plugs into the computer on the driver firewall? My edge has to be unhooked in order for ids, or ae, or a hyperpac (all obdII plugs), to be able to read. My edge works for me, for now, just would like the scanguage and the edge (that would be 8 gauges). Wondering if anyone is running the scanguage, along with the edge? Does both of them function properly at the same time?

I have the edge juice with attitude display module as well as the scanguage 2. I've had the edge since the truck was new (07) and the scan guage for a couple of months. Haven't had any issues. They both do their jobs well.

Where does your edge plug in, holdtyte??? Is it the juice platinum? Mine is the old style with the screen on the display that has the 4 buttons on the left. No touch screen on mine. This would be great.

yes, it's a platinum. My display is an 07 so it has the 4 buttons on the left also. My juice module is hooked up in series to the ECM. The connections are between the drivers side battery and the fender. There is another sensor that it ties into also. can't recall the name off the top of my head tho.I have sent my module into edge twice now to get the newest flash's. They are awesome to deal with.

That's very cool. So now I know I can get the scanguage n use both. I've talked to edge a couple times, they also have a trade in program. I think it's half price on new. I've never had mine flashed. It's seriously got right at a million miles on it.

The plug is no problem; there are even some nice "Y" cables out there already for about $20 from China.
However, the problem stems from the way things are registered on the CAN bus. When plugged into the OBDII port, you have to use a certain address. I.E. there's a reserved "slot" for you to talk to the other modules on the bus. So if there's somebody already on there using that slot, somebody else can't also use that "slot" at the same time.
