No fluid pumping
1978 bronco 351 and c6. I spun the stationary shaft off of the transmission pump. Replaced the pump, adjusted the band and tried to move it. it backed up about 20 feet no problem, went into drive and it acted like it was low on fluid still. checked it and it was, but now it wont move at all. I pulled the cooler lines off, and I'm getting no fluid flow. Did my pump loose its prime or what? Im lost and dont knwo what to try now. thanks guys.

If there is no fluid flowing from the cooler when the engine is running that means the drive gear has been compromised.
The convertor was not indexed properly and the gear will either be broken or cut a swath in the stator support.
That's the shaft you replaced.

I agree with stuart, but you might want to look into your convertor. You may have severe damage in it, stator shafts don't just break off for no reason, the torque convertor is what is actually creating you're cooler pressure around 30psi good Luck

I know they dont just break off for no reason, I was beating the crap out of it when it let loose the first time. The first time that it broke, it made some really bad grinding noises, but it still drove it just had a severe lack in power. this time, it drove fine, no noises and it moved smoothly and then just stopped.
