Andy, Those bellhousings will have numbers on them. Part numbers and casting numbers. Why don't you post those numbers in this thread and I'm certain that someone will have a book to look those up.
A friend of mine thinks one of them is a 360/390/427 Bellhousing "FE" or something like that. The one I'm more interested in is likely a small block (302/351) bellhousing.
Here's the numbers for the latter:
On the starter bump: a Ford logo and an "N1" in the casting
At the rear: "D1TA-8394-AA" but the "8" might be a "6"
Also on the rear: "K017" on one side and "N>D" on the other. The ">" is really a teardrop shape.
