Alright guys this is one ford guy to another. I have lost a bolt and I hope someone out there has one they can sale me and ship to me. I live in a place where people dont know what trucks are, so finding one here is out. I have lost the bolt on the FPR. I need the long one that goes on the forward part of the FPR connecting it to the fuel filter houseing. I dropped it and now I cant find it. Can some one please help. Thanks
oh boy thats not good! even if somebody doesn't have the exact bolt surely them germans have metric bolts around there. you just need to know what thread and how long it is.
If you're running into problems finding one then let me know and I'll send one out. You may have better luck finding one locally before it arrives though. I'm assuming you're at an APO AE address.
I would also think that I could find a metirc around here. I mean after all its Germany, but thats a big negative. They dont like people working on their own cars and the military really doesn't provide enough for us out here to work on them niether. I have searched for a place where I can get some nice bolts but I think the businesses keep to themselves so you have to go to them for work on your car. If someone was willing to grab one from a junk yard for me and toss it into a envolpe. I would be very greatfull and willing to pay you for your time and diesel.
Tim I think you might remember my last problem with bolts for my reciever hitch. Then I could find large enough bolts but the grade was sure weak. Thats just how it is around here. AFFES dosen't carry any bolts and the Germans either keep it to themselves or the just dont offer it to the public.
I can send one out tomorrow. I took off my fuel filter bowl when I installed the Beans system. It's on my work bench taking up room and I don't ever plan on using that thing again. PM me you address and I'll send it out. Spent 2 years in Hanau (Fleigerhorst Kaserne) from 91 to 93 and remember how how they are with DIY types.

Truely a lifesaver. On a side note how is that beans system working for you? Thanks again for help me out
Just sent you a PM. Beans system is working great. Installed in about 4 hours and next day started my trip to Yellowstone from Tennessee. About 3600 miles round trip. Clean valley and easier to maintain.
Replaces everything from the tank selector valve forward. It comes with a freeze plug that gets tapped into the old pump location. Cheaper to build yourself, but I was under a time crunch and was able to drive down to Bean's shop and pick it up. Everything you need in one kit with no fabbing needed except drilling a few holes in frame to mount the pump/filter assembly.
Other benefits I noted was a smoother idle and towing the same load as always I was able to get a few more pounds of boost towing up hill in third gear.
