Looking for certain toolbox
Hey,
I have done searches on this forum as well as on the web and I can not seem to find what I am looking for. I would like to get a toolbox/storage box that fits either even with the top of the bed or lower than the top of the bed. I am looking at both the "pork chop style" and a rail-to-rail behind the cab style. I would prefer one with black powder coat.
Also, if I can not find one with black powder coat, how much do you think Linex would charge to have one coated?

There are lots of them. that's what I have, till I put a raised platform on my bed so i could slid stuff under. You can't fit much in the side boxes that are flush. I also Have over the wheel well box, for smaller stuff. They are also flush with top of bed rail. I think I got mine at Lowes. (Tractor Supply) has good prices and a good selection. I just ordered from Tractor Supply the box of 5 drawers that fits behind the wheel well.

As with big red... I saw the flush (full-width) box at Tractor Supply... I think it was running 400-5$
I also saw the Huge "Weather Gaurd" box... now I'm trying to figure out what to do with my better built

Trigger, do you not like your Better Built? I bought one several years ago, and haven't been able to destroy it yet. I'm actually using it in the back yard for storing my trailer stuff (hitch, bars, tiedowns, etc.), since I don't need a truck box at the moment.

hhnnmm... a storage in the backyard... Sounds like a plan.
No.. the BB is fine... its just not as "roomy" as I'd hoped (its the Deeper/taller version too!) The BB would fit inside the Weather Gaurd I spotted..as well as some of my gear.

Well I went looking at some stores and I narrowed down what I would like to get, however, I still cant find one. Im looking for a box that goes from rail to rail, sits flush with the bed, has two hinged doors, about 15"-20" wide, and is black. I guess my search continues.

The 2 hinged doors in that style will be tough. I don't think I've ever seen that. There is usually one lid, the latch works from either side. That's what I have. The only one's I've seen with 2 lids sits on the rails

The black ones are hard to find. I was looking for a similar one. I finally bought one at tractor supply. Wasn't exactly what I was looking for but close. They do have a pretty good selection and they had 10% off. Good luck, Guy

I also got that 10% off thing in the mail after I ordered my box of drawers from TS. I didn't have to pay for it till I pick it up. So I'll be able to use the coupon, It was good timing. I realy like Tractor Supply, good selection of Carhart clothes, lots of goodies.
