I think your probably one of the few... Could you post a list of the specs for you truck? Many people have thought about doing this but never have actually built one.
i have not got the motor in my truck yet because i am waiting on my mass air flow conversion kit.it comes with new computer new 24#injectors mass air flow meter 80mm and wiring harness.on the motor itself it has been bored 30 over and a probe stroker kit was installed.it has balanced and i had the world castings heads bowls worked on for increase air volume and speed.i also bought trick flow roller rockers and ford motor sport headers.i was told by the man at the machine shop that this motor would be fine with the stock oil pump so i got the muellin oil pump.i cant wait for my mass air to come in.I also got a center force dual friction clutch.i am hoping that this motor will produce good power and torque.

393 stoker anybody have anymore ideas drop me a line
4 inch trailmaster lift
The 393 stroker is a cheap stroker engine that uses a 351W block, a custom crankshaft with a 3.85" stroke (compared to the stock 3.5" stroke), stock 351 connecting rods, and stock 302 pistons. The only extra expense is the crankshaft. This crankshaft can be found on ebay for as little as $280, which is not very much more than the cost of having your original crankshaft reground.
How well would that stroker combo put up with revs to 6500rpm? I know this is a truck site, but I am getting a '83 GT Dominator Mustang and will be dropping a 351w in it.
How well would it tolerate 6500 RPM? I'm not an expert. For some more informed opinions check out [link:www.corral.net|the Corral]. But I'd say with good quality fasteners like ARP and with a good quality crank like a Scat it would be ok. Scat cranks are about $375.
Really, it's the fasteners, the rod bolts and the main cap bolts or studs that usually fail at speed.
Hey Toddy who did you buy the mass air kit from, how much did it cost and what is the part#. I will be building a 331 this spring and will need the mass air kit as well. there is just so many out there hard to figure out which works best. I bought it through a speed shop in dillsburg pa the place I am buying from is mcnew's automotive the recomended that i should use a kit built buy pro-flow.They have a website is www.pro-flow.com It is costing me about 1100.00 to 1250.00 I know it is alot of money but i ahve spent alot of money on the rest of the truck so i figured i would go all the way. Thanks good luck with your truck as well keep us posted.

Now this sounds like ShaZam's thinking.. If your going to do something, do it right the first time no matter what it cost.
