A got a good question, my TS chip ont he highest setting makes this god awful grrrrrr noise, if im to the floor it does it when i let up a little it goes away and the power comes back.
Does anyone know what this is?
Does the DP chip also do this?
I have this same when doing the stronger acceleration (with all three settings, but the +110 hp is the worst as it get so fast to this rpms) and it hits 2900rpm.

Could very well be defueling if you don't have something installed to hide the extra boost from the PCM (I use ITP's Overboost Annihilator). Look at your boost gauge when it makes that noise and see if you're at ~25psi. You DO have gauges, right?? You'll also get a CEL/SES light when that happens.
Stock, 40, 80, and 140 SMOKE . I try to run 80 eco most of the time, but 140 smoke is just awesome. I've had it for about a month or so and the novelty isn't near gone yet! I'd recommend the 140 SMOKE.. but I have zero experience w/ 120 race. I have a BTS valve body too, I'd recommend that.
The 80 Econ has GREAT throttle response, as do the rest. The 60 Tow smokes a lot more than the 80 Econ.. just FYI ... I really can't keep my foot out of it now, so the "econ" idea isn't applicable at the moment.
Lucky, my injectors need replacin, and of course im not getting stock ones again(Single shots) so i need to wait to get the injectors, and get the chip at the same time. So until then, i guess i can put up with hearing my motor rattle apart.
No... I have duals angled outwards (hey they were on the truck when I bought it) so I get both mirrors and the rear view enjoyment. Agreed, must get 140 smoke!
120 Race smokes plenty as well. I have no start, stock, 80 Econ, & 120 Race. Once I decide what to do with the tranny (BTS VB vs. other options), I'll get a couple more tunes...
