Axel idetification 4x4 Van
Hi all u Truck Nuts.
I am trying to find out what this Van has for the front axle?
1974 E-300, window, 4x4, (302 HO 1987) C4, Dana 20.
Front axle tube shaft numbers are 1214 3 C9 603419 2.
Metal tag on pumpkin is 45-11 4.09 .

Might be a Pathfinder
It's an open knuckle,low pinion, 10 bolt pumpkin, 2-3/4" axle shaft housing, 8 lug, drum brake, coil springs, drag links.
It may be a pathfinder van?
I can't find a Bill Of Material list with that number on it.

Just check the size of the bolts holding the inspection cover on it. If they require a 1/2 incch wrench, you have a D44, if it requires a 9/16" wrench, you have an open knuckle D60 with a low pinion and a 4.09 ratio.
