Exhaust systems

Ok, here is my question. Am I missing something or is this exhaust system really the cheap for a 4" turbo back? I'm into putting an exhaust system on my truck but I dont have the big bucks for the high dollar systems. Right now its just strait piped and I'm going on a road trip to Florida at the end of July and I don't really want to listen to that humming/drone sound that I get at cruising speeds. Anyways just looking for some opinions on this exhaust system.

Thanks

I'm Looking at the single and not the duals.

Yeah, that does seem really cheap. Sometimes it may be worth a few extra buck to go with a known brand, though. That one seems to have *A LOT* more pieces than my MBRP 4". That kind of scares me. I spent $490 shipped to my door for a complete stainless steel turbo back system including a really nice tip. For $105 though, it's almost worth seeing how it turns out. Maybe someone will chime in that has that one...

Here is another exhaust system that I have been looking at also. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/powerpipe.htm

I thought the same thing Izzy said. That was the it may be worth paying the extra money do get somthing with a known history. I'm just like everyone else, always lookin for the best deal I can get. I'm lookin to spend around $300 and not much more. So, if anyone has any info on an exhaust system that has a reliable reputation please let me know. Thanks for the input

I'm running the 4" SS set up from Magna Flow. I however did a muffler delete a while ago- just love the sound!! Quick question, not to be a but with the muffler off, is there a noticeable high frequency vibration you can feel through your floorboards? Or how is drone best described? I've only towed 7,000# with the muffler gone, and all 4 windows down, nothing bothered me..

Well as the saying goes.. you usually get what you pay for! I would suspect for that price that it's not the best in materials but, I could be mistaken. With that said about a year and a half ago I needed an exhaust for my 99' dually. I shopped around town and on the web. I ended up finding and buying on Ebay a SS 4" MagnaFlow turbo back system with SS tip for $299 plus shipping. Best money I spent on the truck with a noticeable difference. Good Luck with your search!

thats a great price and free ship? altho it does look like there is a lot of pieces but i think in the pic shown has 2 tips and a y pipe. so it might be for a dual outlet in the pic. I would be willing to give it a try. I would really like to have a 5" but since my turbo is in need of rebuilding i might have to opt for this so i can pass pa inspection this fall. And 100 bucks to me is worth the shot i just wonder if this is a 4" down pipe or if it is smaller and tapers to 4". If anyone purchases this before i would in the next few weeks please post and let me know how it is.

Ok quick question on this.Their site says it will only fit to 2002 superdutys.I have a 2003,why would this exhaust not fit my truck?Did ford change something some where along the lines?
I just cant see a difference between 2002 and 2003 superduty.

Flowtech is a subbrand of holley IIRC. I remember when I bought headers for my old chevy, seeing Flowtech, and Im almost certain they are a cheaper line of Holley. Just a little insight on the brand.

Also, I googled flowtech, and its for sure a brand of Holley. That first part number came up on jegs site at $670, and $413 for the single 4". Im sure their price is a misprint.

i was thinking misprint also. but if we order it now they might sell it at that price?

Also for who asked about the fitment of an 03... i think maybe they won't include that thinking that some of the 03's have a 6.0 not a 7.3? just a thought?

Dont' see why it wouldn't fit an '03 with a 7.3 if it fits an '02. My first thought was what mustang said -- maybe they think all '03s are 6.0s...
