I just unpluged the main injector harness over the drivers valve cover and the cps. What would Ford consider spec for compression? I thought the #8 was low also #2 and #4 are borderline. I have 99,000 miles right now, im a little disappointed on these numbers, or am I just asking too much for a motor with 100k on the clock?

At 100,000 miles, if it isn't dusted or run out of oil or some other outside influence that shortens the life of the engine, then it's just nicely broken in.
The compression numbers might be just due to the starter being sluggish from low batteries and it's cranking a little too slow.
I just replaced the batterys last week, and its turning over faster then it ever did. The reason I want to know if Ford would say compression is low and needs to be fixed, is because I have an aftermarket warranty thats over at 101,000 miles and if my motor is not healthy I want it to be taken care of under warranty. I just dont want to be kicking myself next year for letting this slide, and having to pull the motor myself.
You are averaging 360. The low is 87% of the high putting it within a 20% tolerance. I don't know what Ford's threshold is but I think for your mileage they wouldn't touch it. Seems to me the tech said something about 350 and up was going to be OK but don't quote me. Hopefully a tech will happen along and clear this up.
I know I would be reacting just like you on that low slug. I would definately get the other side checked and relook the low one. I'm sure that's on your agenda.
I am new when it comes to working on diesels, but I just went through an engine change on my 01 PSD that I have owned less than a month. Mine was running worse when it was cold and/or idling. So after getting advice here on FTE I went back to the dealer to see if they would help me out since I just bought the thing from them. I did buy it "AS-IS". Per the diesel mechanic, there should be over 300#'s of compression on the lowside turning the motor over 5 revolutions. I had six cylinders that were around 400 and two that were around 180 and 190. I am not here stating that I know what the compression is suppose to be just stating what I have been told. I hope this helps.
Well my intermediate idle knock has now become all the time and very loud, I dont think its cackle. Now I have get an injector. I called my local International dealer for a price. $317 plus a $250 core charge, I couldnt belive it. It didnt sound like who I usually talk to so maybe ill go there in person and see if it changes. Any suggestions on where to buy one on-line? I sent an e-mail to RealDiesel seeing if they could overnight me an injector, but havent heard back. I dont know how reliable there shipping is, so I wanted to ask first and not get the run around.
