Suggestions Please !!!

Hey guys ! Just got my new f350 SD 6.4 twin turbo king ranch. Love it! need some suggestions for mod. Also, wheels and tires! Definately not thrilled with 18' and continental tires! Please advise is welcome ! thanks

1st off your font size is giving me a headache!!! second, i agree the conts are hideous...if you are looking for mods as far a performance i suggest leave it...you are still under warrnaty and probably would like to stay there right? as far as wheels and tires...its all preference, do you also want to lift it? i just bought a 6" lift and 35" extreme AT's and 17" black chrome wheels...its really what YOU want...if you drive alot get something thats going to wear nice....if you like the wheels on there now just go pick up some nice rubber to fit them

This is your truck......um any sugestions from us would not help you make it your truck. On the other hand look through the gallery here at FTE and get some ideas from what other '08 owners have done. Also you own a new generation of Diesel, and so far right now I have not heard of many mods that do not throw codes and Ford is looking for any evidence of modding to cancel your warranty. You have to pay to play, so just keep it stock for right now....thats my only suggestion.

Welcome to FTE!

FORD is really going to PLAY hard this time around regarding the warranty on the 6.4L PSD. If you mod it...they will cancel the warranty. Especially with the new exhaust system. Those mods will give reason...

OBTW: The 6.4L PSD is NOT a "twin" turbo. It is a dual turbo...which is very different from a "twin".

Well, basically those Conti tires are crap! I thought they only came on the base models. I cant believe they put them on a King Ranch too. Basically, they are a good dry highway tread, but nothing else. Mine would hydroplane in the rain easily. In snow they are even worse! Why would Ford put such a junk tire on a nice new truck? To save them money. Ford saves $$ per vehicle X many vehicles produced = money in the bank (for them, NOT you). If I were you, I would get BF Goodrich (BFG) All Terrains and possibly go up a size or two. For 18" wheels, you would be looking at $200+ per tire.

MBRP currently sells a 4-inch exhaust upgrade for the new '08 SD. It is a Filter back system and comes in 304SS and 409SS with really nice exhaust tips (the system is a "Cool Duals" system and it comes with a nice 5-inch 304 double walled SS tip.

Thanks for the input guys ! much appreciated. I think I will look into those bf goodrich tires, and the MBRP exhaust looks good, wonder how it sounds?
