I am looking for improvements for performance on E150 van, 5.0L, '92, and would like to know info on which chip is available, cost, etc.

Our online store features both Diablo and Superchips performance chips. Diablo doesn't have a chip for your van, Superchips does. Cost is $255. Superchips lists +18HP and +31ft/lb gains for the 92 5.0.

I am new to trying chip replacements. From what I have read this is a simple change out. Are other modifications recommended with the chip, such as exhaust improvements, or should I treat exhaust as a totally separate improvement?
Another question on a different subject. I have had my van stall out on 3 separate occasions, and have recently read about problems with the TFI at high temperatures. Each of the 3 times I stalled out was at high temps (95 deg air plus), while towing a travel trailer. My temperature gage was well within the normal range, but a little higher than it usually runs. The model listing I found on the auto safety website listed the e150 van 5.0L, '84 thru '91, as TFI high temp problems. Mine is a model '92. Could the model '92 have the same high temp TFI problem? Any suggestions
