E150 Van transmission

How can I identify which transmission is in my '92 E150 van? I called the local Ford dealer with the VIN and he could not tell for sure what is in this vehicle. Is there a good source to find this info?
I am looking for a new transmission pan, extra capacity with fins, such as B&M, for better cooling when towing a travel trailer.

E150 Van transmission

Since posting I have found a number on the transmission housing, listed as RF-E9DP-7006-AA. Anyone know how I can crossreference to ID transmission?

E150 Van transmission

The other day I was at the ford house trying to figure out what type of transmission I had in my 87 F-150. I remember those numbers while we were looking thru the computer. Go to your local Ford house and they should be able to pull it up on their system, diagram and all. Good Luck
