Question Coil Resistor Value

I burned out the ignition coil on my Cub Cadet 1450 and replaced it with one from an old Dodge. On the coil it says use an external resistor, can anyone tell me what the ohm and watt rating is on these resistors or give me a mopar part number for one?

the reason for using the resister on the dodge was to drop the voltage down to 6-8 volts so the points did not burn out as fast.
it is not really needed, but if you want to put one on, just go to a parts store and ask an older counterman for a ballast resister, and install it inline on the positive side of the coil.
