A/c
I am having a brain fart tonight.IT got hot here today and finally kicked on my A/C but it is cycling on and off at intervals of about 10 seconds. And i can't find any of my manuals tonight. any ideas would help. thanks in advance.

There's your problem. You need it to be at least 40 with it engaged. It's dropping to low and throwing the low side pressure switch. It sounds like you have a small leak in the system. Is it R-12 or R-134a

Yep. You'll need to have it replaced. Take it to a shop and have it recharged. I know it costs a bundle but you'll be happier with the results. You can get a replacement core for the high side pretty cheap. I usually get the kits from Advance Auto. I think the kit is like 20 dollars.

it was the conversion fitting for 134 making it leak. pulled it off and just added a can of 134 ran for five minutes no leaks and 52 degree air at vents. i will check it again in morning to see how much leaked out. thanks for the help. i love this web site.
