Hello,
I have a 300 6cy EFI in a 1988 F250 extended cab. I recently rebuilt it with the HyperUtechTic pistons (UPS design) 8.5 to 1. I also bored out the plenum to match a 302ci throttle body. I have backed it up with an AOD transmission. My question is which computer module or chip should I use. Is the Superchip the best for my mods or is some other type the way to go. I am primarily after milage more than power although I would not kick if it could produce some hefty torque for hills and loads. All things condsidered would I really gain much by changing chips at all. By the way we have not actually installed the engine yet (it is ready to go) so as yet I am unaware as to just what the mods we have made will actually produce.
If you are installing the Performance Chip for mileage in a gas engine "DON'T". Your mileage will stay the same, at best. The chips are not designed to enhance mileage.
Thanks
