ok guys..need some advice..couple weeks ago I let my new girl friend (she knows just how much I love my truck) use my truck..as she is pulling out of the lawn.(drive way was full with cars.she had to go around) she side swipes my kids plastic jungle gym down the drivers side of my truck leaving long scratches down the bed..I bit my tongue hard and thought..ok chit happens..20 minutes later she returns and I watched her as she comes in the yard and she hit that same toy leaving scratches down the passenger side..what would you do???
A yell and scream and tell her that was not the brightest thing in the world to do.
B- keep quite and spend the rest of the night not talking to her and make her feel guilty.
It is time that woman learns the finer art of high speed buffing and waxing. She has to large sides of the truck to practice on.(with adult supervision of course)(thats you Ron, although debatable).
You are in the same club as I. Every time I let someone else use any one of my vehicles, doesn't matter which one, it comes back with something.
This sort of thing has been happening for most of my life and now I'm finally getting the hint that nobody drives my vehicles anymore.
Sorry can't give you any advice on how to handle this incident other than forgiveness is the best route. Stuff happens.

This is good in theory, but its definetly not something I would want to watch, Ive seen alot of damage done by someone who doesnt know how to use a buffer. I havent learned know how, so I pay someone haha. Swirlmarks are the devil.

yes very true..i came home with that chevy and told her too hit any thing she wants except my truck...i thought that was the best way..
Out of my girlfriends in the past, 2 have wrecked vehicles that I've owned. So now I'm married to a woman who has owned several Superduties in the past. Finally found a girl worthy enough to drive my truck.
1. You break it you bought it. Time for her to pay for some bodywork. Seriously.
2. RARELY do I ever let anyone drive my vehicle(s) , but the motorcycle is DEFINITELY untouchable
3. If they've never driven a truck, they won't EVER get my keys (exception being life or death situation)
I've worked with a lot of people in a public relations sort of role, and found they learn in several fashions, but generally along these lines:
A) They are compassionate/sensitive/intelligent enough to understand a situation & learn from it
B) "hurt" them. financially generally works best.
there's more, and i'm sure i sound like a not very friendly person but i really am! just far too often people don't consider how much something matters to another person. We wrongly apply OUR values to others, and when they fail to meet our expectations, we're surprised.
I park my truck away from other vehicles. People still park next to me and ding my truck. BURNS ME UP. Why don't they treat their car as well as I do my truck? We're different. But I promise you this: If I caught them in the act and they were forced to pay for the bodywork/repaint, etc.... they'd be more careful with their door. Because they were now smarter? Nope. Because they don't want to pay that expense again.
