chip problems

chip problems
i have a 98 ranger 2.5L 5-speed, and i ordered a diablosport performance chip for it. once i got the chip i spent over a hour cleaning all the contacts on the computer. i cleaned it about three times until i got fed up. for some reaason the truck won't start. it turns over but it just doesn't ignite. i checked the code also, and it matches. so i don't know what else it could be. plugs maybe? wires? anyone please help or let me know if you had this problem and what you did to resolve it.

chip problems
Sounds like your ecu has been reflashed by Ford. If so, it changes your code completely and the chip and ecu code must match perfectlyfor the truck to run.
