Checking RABS codes

Where is the connenctor at to ground and check the rear ABS codes located at??? I just put on new rear shoes, replaced the broken spring and keeper and attached the adjuster cable that was dangling, now to see what the codes are and clear them and see if anything re-appears..Now have good rear brakes with no locking up of either wheel...Once the ocdes are displayed will it clear the codes and turn the yellow light off???

on my 90 f250 its a wire that dangles down near the brake pedal with a little grey clip on the end, I think it's black and orange wire.

^ yep. Momentarily ground that black/orange wire and the light should flash the codes. The ABS computer resets each time you turn off the truck, so disconnecting the battery or doing anything else to re-set the codes won't do anything more than simply turning off the ignition switch. If you still have the light, you still have a problem.
