3.0 engine stuck to trans.
Hi. I've changed a few engines before, but never had this problem. Engine is loose but won't part from torque converter. Yes, I took the 4 nuts off of the converter/flexplate & starter is out. yes, ALL the bellhousing bolts are out, any one got a idea ? Thanks, Bob

The convertor could be stuck in the crank.
Try prying and shaking.
Other than that remove the transmission and leave the convertor on the crank.
Once the transmission is out you should be able to pry the convertor off.

I had the same problem separating the engine from an automatic transmission until I realized that the other end of the engine was also bolted to the transmission. at the engine mount point on the front right side of the block. Then there was also a hidden bolt holding the sheet metal onto the bell housing.

If the bell housing is stuck run a propane torch around it, You just want to heat it up a bit to get it to expand is it is corroded together, heating it up will help to force it apart!!
