Ken, my first PSD was an F250 in which I had installed a Torque-line
TPC-9703 chip. When I traded the truck I pulled the chip and sold it
to an aquaintance in CA. He was never able to start his truck with
the chip installed. Naturally I gave his money back and he returned the chip.
I have never tried to do anything with it since, but I wonder if he may have fried it during installation?
Most likely your trucks didn't have the same ECU codes. Unless its one of the more modern 4 bank chips, its not going to be interchangable between different ECU codes.
You can probably get the dealer you bought the chip from to reburn it for your current Ford.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-Dec-01 AT 12:59 PM (EST)]Ken, as we discussed in a previous thread I don't feel a need for
a chip in my 01 F350 PSD. Just wondering if another
97 PSD owner would be able to use this chip.
