alright I didnt fill the pre-pump filter when I was done and just went under there and opened the valve and fuel flowed out so that means that the pump is working right? to fill that new filter it would have to be pulling right?, what now if anyone wants to walk me through it can you call me at 559-303-9768 names George thaks in advance
well droped the tank no kincks no nothing the pickup didnt look like it bottomed out, so I am stuck.....Pete thanks for calling me I didnt want to bother you again. I can hear that pump running but nothing (does'nt mean its not shot right?) any way I tried to leave the pick up loose and see if it pumping through nothing, I also tried to see if the fuel was coming through the pump but nothing there either so I have some prob with the pick up right? from my measurements it should not be bottoming out at all if anything I have about 1/8in of play, I'm stupmed and pissed I dont want to take it anywhere but I might have too.
Well.....after much heartache and pain (namely pulling the tank again and starting from scratch) It ended up being my fuel pump. It was running but it was shot (WHICH MAKES ME KINDA HAPPY CUZ I THINK THATS WHY MY MPG WERE CRAPY!!!!!) SO thanks to Pete for helping me on this after I posted my number he called in 5min and gave me more help on the phone I LOVE FTE MEMBERS. So anyway when new pump gets here I will post again. Thanks everyone for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the filter, if you used the baldwin BF 1212 did you remember to slide the little rubber o-ring over the filter head neck?
Yes I did I even took everything apart to make sure I installed everything right. I know its my pump cause I did the bucket to bucket deal and no flow, but it was running.....I'm hoping this will also solve my poor mpg problem! That pump must have been on its last leg and with the new filter to pull through I guess she had enough and quit
On the intake side of the pump is the screen plugged?
I am pulling the tomorrow sometime to fully inspect it I will check it out fully then and repot anything that looks like I could save this little delema
