351 carberator

the gas line is *****ed up :-( my grandpa has a 351 with a good carb, but i dont think itll fit my 390 my trucks a 69 and his is a 73? somewhere close to that.. let me know asap! thanx guys!

Wow!! Ebonix is back in full force LMAO!! I'm puzzled as to how the "k'd up" fuel line has anything to do with the carb unless it's the inlet threads on the bowl. At which point bowls can be had via ebay or summit etc. Then letting us know what carb is on the 390 might help someone decifer if they might have a donor handy.

thing is, im not all that good with fords. so other then stock, 2barrel, small as crap. i cant exactly tell u much more. look at my (pics of my truck and car) thread on the gad for a pic..

and yes, its the bowl that got *****ed up. the carb is free. so i was just wondering if it was interchangeable with mine.

and ps. sorry about the first post, was in a real rush trying to type that lol.

threw me for a loop there, thought WTF's he got in that thing ? there is no carb it's FI LOL.. if it's a hollety carb the bowls can be had www.summitracing.com HLY-134-103 etc. Stock 2bbl hit a parts yard.. might even get lucky with the holley there.

cheepest one i have found at the yard is around 75 plus 30 for a rebuild kit.. then on top of that, im broke :-( between the cavalier, the truck, trying to save for the summer... so yea.. simple question, will the 351 2 barrel carb fit mine or not? lol

EDIT: BTW all the ones i have found the jy said they didnt work

LOL p-huck I dunno, grab a ruler and measure the bolt patterns or unsrew the four nuts and see, if not ebay the thing for $$ to get what you need lmao..

It's just a motorcraft 2V??? I say experiment and report back. The basic rebuild kit is only $10 or so.

well im going to grab it in the next few days if i get a chance and see if itll work. if a 4 barrel and intake wouldn't cost so much and if i got more then 8-10 mpg as is id grab the 4 barrel my papaw has layin up in his garage

The carburetor spacer plates are different between the 351/400 and the 360/390. The carb to spacer and spacer to intake manifold gaskets are also different.
