Hey everyone, I just completed a SAS on my '83 F-150. I haven't seen too many threads about this subject on here so I thought I would provide a link to my writeup. It's probably not as detailed as it needs to be, but it may be a help to anyone who is planning this type of swap.
Great write up. Very informative. I got a couple questions for you. I was thinking about useing the cage arms and just want to get your opinion on them. Do they have good flex and such? And secondly did the factory coil perches on the d44 line up with the width of your frame?
Thanks Dave

So far I love the cage arms. I was considering just using the stockers until I talked to a few people. The cage arms already have some caster correction built in, and they are turned inward for tire clearance. I could very easily clear 37's with the amount of lift I have on it now. It also flexes very nice. I posted some new pics last night of it flexing. As far as the coils, they lined up nicely. I did weld some 1/4" plate to the bottom of them to beef them up a bit, and also so I could grind the bottoms at an angle so the coils would be straight up and down. I only had to grind the passenger side, though, the drivers side turned out perfect. The only downside to the cage arms is the cost. Mine were about $850 shipped.
Ive got a 79 F-350 crewcab im doing a 4wd conversion on and im seriously thinking about usin cage arms and 9 in superlift softride coils. I like the flex it gave you.
