i thought the driveshaft was in two parts there and you just pull them apart. i've only worked on 1 truck that had one and it was a chevy several years ago, so i'm not sure. but i thought there was a slip yoke at the bearing.
There is a slip yoke to the rear of the carrier bearing with a boot on it. Pull back the boot and separate the shaft into 2 pieces. The smaller piece still has the carrier bearing (center driveshaft support, as some like to call it) attached to it. There is a compression washer on the front side of the carrier bearing. You'll need to use a press to get the compression fitting and bearing off of the shaft, its REALLY on there. I just replaced mine recently and it would have been impossible to do without a press. You will also need to press the new one back on.
My guess is no... Don't you have to manually twist the screw on the jaw puller? Even the press that I used had to get quite a load onto the carrier bearing before it POPPED!! And then it slid off relatively easy (for a giant press). And if you can pull the bearing off evenly it will pull the compression ring off evenly too, and no ruin it. I was able to do this with the press and it allowed me to reuse the ring.
