Ask for an Oasis report or get the VIN and post in https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...st-thread.html asking for an Oasis report. This report will list all the service visits at the Ford dealerships so you'll see any warranty work that was done. Lots of warranty claims = not so good engine.
Well, I have the document and per page two it states that "Excursion vehicles carryover the 2004 MY engine for the first part of the 2005 MY". The EGR throttle is a carryover BUT my engine does not have it. I have the new fuel supply line trap, with banjo bolt and two copper washers. Also per page 5 I have the new front cover with the repositioned coolant returns for the heater and radiator.
Per your document, the fuel supply line change and front cover change are NOT interchangeable with 2003 or 2004 MY engines.

My apologies RoyC. You are correct. I just came in from rechecking my 08/05 Huntsville built 6.0L and sure enough, I have the '05 fuel trap, front cover, and high pressure pump with revised IPR valve up on top. I assume the rest of the upgrades are there, also. The cert. sticker still states 560 ft/lbs of torque, though. 10 ft/lbs must be in the program?
Do you have a H'ville or Indy built 6.0L?
Take Care
